Minnesota RØKKR’S Call of Duty League - Major II Tournment

Live In-Person Event - Mystic Lake Casino (2022) My role was as Senior Art Director and Designer.

MN RØKKR’S Call of Duty League Major 2 event creative - featuring the entrance “Doom Scroll.”

Goal: Dress a multi-day, internationally broadcast, pro-gaming event in a space more fit for corporate meetings.

Audience: Call of Duty fans (a demographic who aren’t afraid to tell you something sucks)

Process: The 2021/2022 season for Minnesota RØKKR leaned heavily on the aesthetics of “Nordic Metal.” I had previously worked with a great comic illustrator on some dark elements to use in our game day graphics. I expanded the world to create a dark, post-apocalyptic landscape that our mascot traveled. Subsequently – fans would get to enter this space to watch competitive gaming.

The campaign included; environmental graphics, wayfinding, experiential, broadcast graphics, social media graphics, trophy, fan photobooth overlays, fan merchandise, influencer kits and out of home ads.

Notes: This was a huge project, but I’m really proud of the hard work the design team put in to bring this to life.
